Youth: Middle & High School

We want our students to experience three things: wonder for who God is, discovery of who He created them to be, and passion for loving others. Everything we offer is designed to help middle schoolers and high schoolers begin to take ownership of their faith through these three basic truths:

  • I will love God because He will never stop loving me.
  • I will follow Jesus because He knows me better than I know myself.
  • I will live out God’s story so others can know who Jesus is.

Middle School: Rise

Our middle school small group meets on Sunday mornings at each service and consists of 6th-8th graders. Students start off with a game/activity and then help lead worship with our elementary aged kids (this introduces a service/volunteer component). After worship, students meet back together to watch a video communication piece and then split into groups with their small group leader to answer questions and see how the teaching can be applied to their lives as a tween.

On the first Tuesday of each month, we bring middle schoolers and high schoolers together for an hour and half of socializing and fun. It’s a great time to make memories and build community together, as well as celebrate what our students are learning about God. First Tuesdays are held on, you guessed it, the first Tuesday of each month.

High School

Our Sunday morning services at Hill City are engaging and active for our high school students to attend with their families or to sit together and enjoy with their peers. Our high school small groups meet on Tuesday nights. Students start off together with a game/activity and then break into gender based groups to explore a teaching lead by their consistent small group leader. We encourage our students to ask big questions while they learn how to apply what God’s word says to their lives as a 9th-12th grader.
