  • IS HILL CITY PART OF A DENOMINATION?

    Nah. We’re a non-denominational outfit. However, we are part of an organization called ARC. The ARC church network helps plant and support new churches, as well as train and coach church leaders. To learn more about ARC’s values, click here.

    Hill City is also a North Point Partner which provides us with access to a different network of churches.

  • WHAT ARE YOUR CORE BELIEFS?

    Our core beliefs can be summed up in one word: “JESUS”.

  • WHAT DOES HILL CITY DO FOR OUTREACH?

    As we continually look to grow and improve our impact in the City of Richmond and beyond, Hill City has partnered financially with non-profit partners who are addressing needs around housing, food, youth development, foster care, employment, and more.   • WHAT DO Y'ALL TEACH ABOUT THE BIBLE?

    We believe that the Bible is the Inspired Word of God. The Bible was written by over 40 different human authors, not just magically dropped down from Heaven, that detail out their experience with God in their own context and time. We believe that the Bible points to the ultimate authority in Jesus and when we read and study what it says we do so with the constant thought, “How does this point me to Jesus?” In other words, if the Bible is useful to teach us what is true (2 Timothy 3:16) then the view points and opinions we gather from the Bible have to point back to what Jesus taught or else it isn’t truth since Jesus himself said he is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). Finally, we believe that the Bible helps create a dynamic relationship with Jesus and life long journey of gaining knowledge, perspective and wisdom.

  • HOW IS HILL CITY ORGANIZED?

    We are a staff led church and have a Board of Trustees that helps set the annual budget (including staff salaries) and provides guidance on any big expenditures.

    We also have a Board of Overseers that serves as accountability for John and Lacy Wagler. This is made up of three individuals that attend other churches, serve in a leadership role, and love Hill City and its vision.
